GM recalls 303,000 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles
Gm is recalling 303,000 of its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks in the United States. The recall is due to a software glitch that could result in engine compartment fires. Eight fires have been confirmed, and three of those were in customer-owned vehicles, no injuries were reported however.
The glitch was only found in trucks powered by the 4.3L and 5.3L V8 engines. Trucks with the 6.2: V8 engine had no problem.
GM is recalling another 67,000 trucks in the US and Mexico as well.
