Fastlane will build you the Cheyenne you can't buy

Texas based Fastlane Motorsports got tired of waiting for an announcement on Cheyenne so they went ahead and started developing their own truck rod...

Quote:
First of all, to give the Silverado the appropriate street-smart attitude, the suspension was dropped 4 inches in the front and 6 in the rear with a DJM lowering kit, and low-profile 22-inch wheels and tires were installed. But this truck is more than just about show. Get a load of the healthy-sized turbo attached to the Gen-V small-block. As you can see from these photos, final plumbing for the turbo system is still in development, but you can bet when it's completed, the Silverado will be capable of some epic smoky burnouts, and some serious acceleration.

Wait, will this company actually mod your Silverado to make it a Cheyenne, or are they just making a one-off? I could see this custom version being even better than Chevy's Cheyenne. They have more freedom since they don't have to think about mass production.

I don't think its finished yet. Fastlane is a tuning shop, so send them yours and they'll send it back bananas... This is their prototype/dev mule... supposedly the Turbo setup isnt even finished yet.... AHAHAA

no word on power or anything of the like. If you're seriously interested follow their facebook site thats where they update all their progress.

I can't wait to see what Hennessy performance does if they do anything. What they did with the C7 vette was amazing:

best part about street trucks is they already come with bomb proof gearboxes and live axles so theres no worries about running bonkers power through them.

I know a lot of times companies like Fast Lane run into problems becuase the stock gear boxes are not designed to handle the load.

good point!
at least having a powerful truck leaves you a bit worry free, more than you would with a camaro or vette

the brakes are usually the first thing to give if you upgrade your power.
