Chevrolet has introduced the latest addition to its Special Service Vehicle (SSV) lineup.

The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 SSV joins the brand’s growing portfolio of police vehicles, and will go on sale this summer with specially designed features for police use. The SSV package will be available on the Silverado 1500 Crew Cab in 1WT or 1LS trims, which comes with a 5.3-liter EcoTec V8 engine with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque while getting a 23 MPG highway rating.

The Silverado SSV will come equipped standard with a 170-amp high-output alternator and 730-CCA auxiliary battery, allowing officers to operate lights, radios, computers, cameras and other equipment while parked with the engine off. In addition, the pickup is equipped with a 110-volt outlet for equipment along with electrical power supply for four upfitter switches located on the center stack for easy control and accessibility.

Options include front center seat delete, auxiliary dome lamp, spotlamp, wiring for grille, lamp and sirens, common key package, flasher system for headlights and tail lights, vinyl rear seats and an electronic four-wheel drive switch.

Same here, at least not like this with everything you would on the typical marked cruiser.

Only seen unmarked police trucks
