2015 Chevrolet Silverado Superbowl Ad: "Romance"

Chevrolet is throwing its hat in the ring with the rest of the automakers in this year's Superbowl Super-advertising competition. This ad features the brand new 2015 Silverado Heavy Duty pickup truck.

The advertisement is called "Romance" and is about a man and his truck, and the journey of a "stud-bull to an exciting, romantic rendezvous across town. The ad features the song "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate.

Chevrolet's global chief marketing officer Tim Mahoney said, "We like how 'Romance' uses humor to show the power and capability of the truck and the interesting demands our customers place on their heavy-duty trucks."

So in other words, the Silverado can play as cupid

I always knew there was more to Silverado than what meets the eye and facts/specs on paper.

To be honest, i don't think this Super Bowl commercial is going to be that memorable compared to the rest of them. It's not even that great for a regular commercial.

I kinda understand what they are going for though. I read an article that says that women are most attracted to men who drive pickups. Maybe that would have been a better starting point for the commercial.

Maybe this explains why trucks have been so popular in the US over the last little while. People buy trucks because it gets them action. I would have thought sports cars would be number one, but I am happy to hear that trucks are instead.

I wouldn't say it's why trucks have been so popular in the U.S. but it might be a small factor to it. Aside from that america loving trucks is sort of a cultural thing
