GM expands its recall on 2014 Silverado and Sierra trucks

GM has expanded a recall on 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra model for a possible fire hazard.

Currently, GM has repaired 39 percent of the 377,888 pickups that have been recalled. The expanded recall for the US makes the number of affected vehicles 324,970, up from the initial estimate of 303,000.

So far GM has received 11 reports of fires, which are being cause by a software glitch that causes the exhaust components of the affected pickups to over heat.

Thats not good to hear.
Overheating is never good, at least it's just the exhaust system though.

Likely some have, not everyone is going to see this or want to reply to it.

I guess that's true. I'm just wondering about the quality of customer service and what the whole experience is like. I've never had a car or truck recalled on me. I imagine that it isn't a very fun experience for many.

still trying to comprehend how a software glitch can cause an exhaust overheat and fire.
